The Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a program to help low income adults, youth, and dislocated workers enter unsubsidized employment; to improve the quality of the workforce; reduce welfare dependency, and enhance the productivity and competitiveness of the nation’s economy. WIOA offers an integrated and comprehensive range of services consisting of workforce development activities benefiting employers, job seekers, and communities.
