Veterans Services include priority of service, assessment, counseling/case management, testing, career planning, job search assistance, referral and placement for eligible veterans.  An eligible veteran is defined as an individual who served in the active military, naval or air service, and who was discharged or released there from under conditions other than dishonorable as specified at 38 U.S.C. 101(2).  Active services include full-time duty in the National Guard or a Reserve component, other than full-time for training purposes.

http://www.va.gov/jobs/ is the United States Department of Veteran Affairs website for official recruitment. The Web site provides links to job openings,  information on how to apply for those positions, and additional information about the VA's mission and culture.


http://jobsearch.usajobs.opm.gov/a9va.asp website displays all VA listings published at USAJOBS, the official government recruitment Web site sponsored by the Office of Personnel Management. This site includes professional and administrative openings and many VA health care job vacancies.


http://www.vacareers.va.gov allows individuals to find open positions in the health care occupations and other career fields.  There is a complete listing of all jobs available in specific Veteran Administration sub-agencies such as Central Office, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), or National Cemetery Administration (NCA).  Individuals can apply online for vacancies on this site.
