Application Instructions

Licensing and Accreditation

Any organization seeking to be part of our network of youth training vendors must be licensed and/or accredited by an applicable education body (Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board; Texas Education Agency; Texas Workforce Commission Career Schools & VA Education, private college or university accrediting association; etc.), or specifically exempted under the Texas Education Code from licensing as a career school or competitively procured by WSBV. The Texas Workforce Commission regulates career schools in Texas and grants legal exemption from the licensing process. Workforce Solutions Brazos Valley (WSBV) accepts all exemptions granted by TWC (must submit exemption letter with application) except for two (2) exemptions: (1) those that claim to be supported solely by WSBV funds. We buy educational and training programs “off-the-shelf” and not developed specifically for our customers; and (2) those that claim to be supported solely through corporate business.

Record of Performance

Any organization seeking to be part of our network of youth training vendors must have a record of one year in providing education or training services (especially the program submitted for approval). No start-up organizations will be approved.

Financial Stability

Any organization seeking to be part of our network of vendors must demonstrate that it is financially stable and does not expect to rely solely on funds from WSBV to remain in business.

Catalog and Curriculum

Any organization seeking to be part of our network of vendors must have a published catalog that describes its courses or services, cost to students, refund and attendance policy, program completion criteria and must have a written curricula of course offerings.

Facility and Equipment

Any organization seeking to be part of our network of vendors must have an adequate facility that abides with ADA guidelines, as well as sufficient equipment, textbooks, and software to provide services for students.

Instructor Credentials

Any organization seeking to be part of our network of vendors must employ instructors with sufficient credentials and field experience. Additional questions should be directed to Vonda Morrison at 979-595-2801, extension 2013.
