Pre-Apprenticeship Electrician Program

Electricians are in demand in the Brazos Valley and you can EARN while you LEARN.
Average Wage for Electricians is up to $24.09/hour and for an Electrical Apprentice it’s up to $16.75/hour in our area!
Workforce Solutions Brazos Valley has been awarded a new grant by the Texas Workforce Commission to start a Pre-Apprenticeship class for the Electrical Trade in the Brazos Valley!
The Pre-Apprenticeship Class helps prepare you for the electrician career pathway through a registered apprenticeship. Registered Apprenticeships have entry qualifications that can be tough. By taking this Pre-Apprenticeship Class, you will be ready to gain entry into an Apprenticeship Program.
Day and Evening Classes are available now and will prepare you to enter into an Electrical Apprenticeship Program in the Brazos Valley!

Qualifications to be accepted into the Pre-Apprenticeship Class:
- You must be eighteen years old
- Have a picture ID
- Have a Social Security Card
- High School Diploma or GED….Don’t worry, if you don’t have a diploma or GED, we have classes at not no cost for that too!
Work Clothes, Books, and Tools can be provided to eligible students.
Upon completion of the Pre-Apprenticeship Bridge class, you will have earned:
- An OSHA – 10 card
- A National Center for Construction Education & Research Core Certificate
- Knowledge to pass the entrance exam for the apprenticeship test
